The REI Adventures staff planted over 10,000 native plants at Mt. Rainier, restoring the area where the old vistors center was located.
Cindy and I took an Alaska cruise with her parents. There were lots of forest fires burning in the Yukon so things were usually very smokey, but it was still beautiful. We traveled on the outside of Vancouver Island and the Inside Passage stopping in Juneau, Sitka, Skagway, and Victoria BC with a day in the Tracey Arm fjord.
Chronicles a couple of days of snow fall. We ended with over two feet!
Cindy and I visited the Tetons and Yellowstone the last week before the park closed for winter. We had it practically to ourselves.
San Francisco, CA to Kaneohe Bay, HI. Crossing over 2,000 miles of ocean. I also posted a 15 minute video here, beware it's a big file.
